The Board of Directors of the Company wishes to announce that the Company had on 13 December 2007 acquired 2 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each from Ms Lau Swee Chin (1 ordinary share) and Ms Lee Mei Ying (1 ordinary share) comprising the total paid-up capital in Freight Management MSC Sdn Bhd, a company incorporated under the laws of Malaysia for a total consideration of RM2.00 ("the Acquisition").
Upon completion of the acquisition, Freight Management MSC Sdn Bhd will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of FMH.
Mr Chew Chong Keat and Mr Yang Heng Lam, Directors of FMH are also Directors of Freight Management MSC Sdn Bhd. Ms Gan Siew Yong, who is the spouse of Mr Chew Chong Keat is also a Director of Freight Management MSC Sdn Bhd.
The Acquisition does not have any effect on the issued and paid-up share capital of the Company or on the shareholdings of the major shareholders and does not have any material effect on the earnings and net assets of the FMH Group.
